Modern Times: A Cro-Magnon Artist and the Creation of a Masterpiece

This novella tells the imagined story of the Cro-Magnon artist who lived more than 15,000 years ago and created a brilliant cave painting in Rouffignac, a cave not far from the more famous cave of Lascaux in the South of France, .
Historians know that the pre-historic people who lived in this region were members of the species homo sapiens and were therefore human beings just like us (Cro-Magnon is a geographical designation like “American” or “Dane”), but they know nothing else about their lives, their language, their religion or their culture. Modern Times is an attempt to imagine the life and work of the artist who created the masterpiece of cave painting in Rouffignac.
